In Hawkes Bay flowering is well underway, the cold snap that came through the first week of this month has slowed things down a bit.

We are still hoping for some hot weather for the tail end. Gisborne flowering went well, so that sets the tone for a good season up there. In Marlborough we are running about two weeks behind the average due to the cold and wet weather.
By the time the Sauvignon Blanc starts to flower we should be well into those hot sunny days that many of us are waiting for. Hopefully with this late start, we will get a hot summer, the vines will catch up on lost time and we'll be in for another great vintage. Stay tuned.
